DOGON FABRIC SERIES
I inspired by tribe’s animal masks art, and from that, I designed animals figure.Through research, I think their masks figures have lots of connection with modern design. Also cubism, fauvism have often taken inspiration from the vast and diverse heritage of African masks. Especially animal masks are the common subject in African masks.I want to deliver mask’s simple and characteristic shapes in a modern way, and also I try to make good harmony between background and each figure, with color, and composition for expressing dynamic, vivid alive Serengeti.
